St Michael’s Hospital – Audiology Refurbishment
Project Summary.
Client – Bristol Port Company
Location – St Andrews House, Avonmouth Docks
Value – £141k
Programme – 8 Weeks
Our works within the Audiology department were completed in a live hospital environment, adjacent to an occupied ward that neighboured our site boundary, leaving our experience in this environment critical to maintaining a clean, safe and productive work area.
Following the strip out, fire integrity improvement works were undertaken to install new separation walls and reinstate any that were non compliant. Smoke dampers were installed to the existing ventilation system, and the installation of a new AHU was completed via crane lift onto the roof.
New internal partitions were installed to form the reconfigured layout. New door sets, suspended ceilings, vinyl and carpet floor finishes were added. A new Kitchenette was formed to the staff breakout space. General M&E upgrade works were completed to the lighting, power and ventilation installations.
The existing examination rooms were furnished with new clinical wash basin facilities mounted on IPS ducting. The reception and circulation areas were upgraded in line with the clinical areas, and a new bespoke reception counter with glazed screening was installed.
