Weston General Hospital – AEC Expansion

Project Summary.

Client – NHS – Weston General Hospital
Clients Representative – Brian Gay Architecture
Location – Weston General Hospital
Value – £135k
Programme – 5 Weeks

This project took place right in the centre of the hospital, so it was vital that no major disruption was caused to any of the adjoining departments. This resulted in all construction activities being carefully monitored to ensure that noise and dust was effectively managed.
The area was stripped out and reconfigured to form medical examination bays and a new children’s area.
New hygienic ceilings and flooring were installed throughout the areas along with bio-cladding to the walls, new LED lighting and air conditioning.
These works took place during the global pandemic of Covid 19 and therefore we had to follow strict social distancing guidelines by the Construction Leadership Council. This was successfully implemented and the project was still completed on time.
