Weston General Hospital – Outpatients Waiting Area & MDCU.

Project Summary.

Client – NHS – Weston Hospital
Client’s Representative – Brian Gay Architecture
Location – Weston-super-Mare
Value – £325k
Programme – 12 Weeks

The works included the extensive strip out of the discharge lounge and medical examination rooms to make way for the new outpatient’s waiting area and new treatment area. Specialist medical services were installed to the newly formed treatment area as well as the full replacement of all other mechanical and electrical supplies.

As part of the refurbishment we installed a commercial kitchen/food prep area, new disabled WCs, a Podiatry workshop and a refresh of the corridor areas that lead to the new Outpatients waiting area, MDCU ward, Podiatry department & ambulance bay.

These works took place during the global pandemic of Covid 19 and therefore we had to follow strict social distancing guidelines by the Construction Leadership Council. This was successfully implemented and the project was completed on time.
