Creative were appointed to form a new library facility within Southmead House, Bristol City Council’s main hub building within the Southmead community area.

Internally the existing layout of separated spaces were demolished to provide a more open plan format for the main library area. Additionally new back of house space was created for the provision of staff areas, alongside a new DDA WC facility.

As part of the M&E upgrade works, a new access control system was installed to enable the segregation of the Library space from the remaining areas of council spaces. Upgrades to the existing lighting installation and alterations to the existing small power installations were completed to suit the finished revised layout. Heating & ventilation upgrade works were also completed via the installation of new wall and floor mounted fan convection heaters and new AHU kit.
