Units 1-6 The Lock in Swindon is a multi occupier retail building, located in the heart of Swindon City Centre’s shopping district. As part of our works, we were tasked with completing the replacement of the existing roof covering with a new Built Up Felt system, undertaking the associated works required to the roof mounted plant installations, whilst giving consideration to the impact that our works were to have on the high street area below.

To minimise our impact on the public spaces, our specialist designed scaffolding installation was installed during evenings, and with the façade fixed solution removing the need for any ground based scaffolding, we removed any interaction with the building users and general public during the course of our works.

The existing failed and end of life roof coverings were overlaid with a Bauder built up roofing system, and all associated lead work, liquid applications to upstands and plant mountings, along with plant removals/reinstatements were completed to programme and budget.
